I do this at  ![hubspot-logo-small.png](https://www.keyy.org/hs-fs/file-2406364139-png/Website_Graphics/hubspot-logo-small.png?width=83&name=hubspot-logo-small.png) , advising startups, writing and speaking.  I founded the [Growth-Driven Design](https://www.growthdrivendesign.com) movement which is transforming the world of web design. In the first ten months we grew from 0 -> 700 web design agencies in 56 countries offering GDD services to clients. Previous to HubSpot, I helped grow a digital marketing agency until it was acquired in 2014. Outside of work I train Mixed Martial Arts and rough house with my pug puppy, Mac.  ## MY CORE VALUES Rules I live my life by... **Better Than Yesterday**. 📈 The work I'm doing today is better than yesterday, and the work I will be doing tomorrow will be better than today. Stay humble and know there is always something to improve. Always be proactively learning. Surround yourself with people smarter than you. Live all aspects of life by the mantra, "Plan, build, learn and repeat." **Attack the Outcome.** 👊 Commit to the desired outcome and have an unwavering commitment and optimistic confidence to achieve it. When you hit a wall, get creative and flow like water to find the path of least resistance. Stay hungry. Never settle.  **Heart and Mind Like a Child.** 👶 Keep an open-mind that is over-run with curiosity and wonder about the world. Ask "Why?" and "Why Not?". Let your imagination run wild in a pure and creative exploration of what the world could be. It's ok to be a tad bit "crazy". **Everyone is Family.** 👨‍👩‍👧 Treat everyone as your family, with open-arms, honesty and transparency. Have empathy, compassion and understanding for every individual. Find how you can improve their lives without them asking. Provide value with every interaction.  ### HOW I VIEW THE WORLD ## MY "SUPERPOWERS" I am a classic "[visionary](http://blog.eosworldwide.com/blog/9089/eos/visionary-integrator-you/#axzz4UXJwdRib)" role who thrives in early-stage or reinvention projects. I work best when matched with a complement "[Integrator](http://blog.eosworldwide.com/blog/9089/eos/visionary-integrator-you/#axzz4UXJwdRib)" who share the same core values. Through a mix of nature and nurture, I have developed four "superpowers": **Explorer** 🔍 Like a modern-day Marco Polo, I love to explore the unknown. I thrive in early-stage or reinvention projects filled with big challenges, high-uncertainty, user research and the need for radical innovation. With the user as my guide, I continuously ask better questions with a child-like curiosity until I uncover new paths of innovation. Once found, I continue exploring those paths with a lean, experimentation mindset wearing the "inventor" hat.  **Inventor** 💡 When I was a child I decided to be an inventor. Over the years I have honed the ability to cross-pollinate different ideas, use lateral thinking,  and push creative ideation with groups. These skills, mixed with a sound design thinking process, are what spur creative innovation.  Like any inventor, I'm not afraid to try something that has never been done before (and may fail). I don't see experiments as failures, rather the learnings from each experiment are a part of the necessary journey.  **Flow Like Water 🌊** In every early-stage project you will run into challenges that threaten progress. Lack of resources, missing skill sets, internal blockers to name a few. Where most stall, my positive determination and grit strengthen. I use a creative, hacker-like mentality to flow around challenges and continue to build momentum. This has resulted in me developing a wide-range of diverse skills required to get the job done.  **Leader and Communicator 🚀** An idea turns into a movement only when others rally behind it and take action. My fourth superpower is my ability to emotionally connect, communicate a clear sense of purpose, and inspire others to take action.  I'm able to adapt this both internally and externally with customers. In any venue: large crowds, small teams or one-on-one meetings.
